Artificial Intelligence is here to stay, for better or for worse (probably both!). We'll examine the key players and review some recent developments in the field. We'll also discuss the significant benefits and downsides to this latest technological trend. Finally, we'll explain the key concepts behind today's AI and then get to the fun part: a live "vibe coding" demo!
Alan Dewar is a Lead Software Engineer at Black Duck and current President of the Calgary Unix Users' Group. He has been using Claude Code to assist with software development and testing in recent months, and has found the experience to be generally positive and only occasionally horribly wrong.
